What’s so different about ambertam?Ambertam.com is run as a service for the hundreds of thousands of people who look for something to do at the weekend, at night-time, on a day off or during the holidays. Ambertam.com is run as a service for those staging, organising or holding events who want to let hundreds of thousands of people know about it. It is not run as a holding site offering free listings to nudge up the number of hits so as to attract irrelevant advertising and illogical links. Nor is it intended to be a site that once set up, runs itself. Virtually every day you will discover something new and interesting on ambertam.com. Indeed, we will always encourage feedback and new ideas and we work very hard every day to improve our service and value to users and event organisers.
Why should I register? You don’t have to pay and you don’t have to register to be able to gain access to all ambertam’s events listings. However, by registering you will be able to customise the ambertam home page so it brings up events immediately relevant to you. In addition, you will be able to have a number of favourite searches, so events - or dates - of interest to you can be brought together with a single click.
I can’t log inPlease make sure you have registered as a member. You should have received an email from us giving you your user name and password. If you have forgotten your user name and/or password, you should click on the forgotten username/password link on the home page. Your computer may be logged in as someone else. Go to the home page and if the welcome message is missing or names a different user, just click on “Not you?” and log yourself in.
Where does my ad go after the event date passes?Your advertisement does not disappear off our database for at least a year after the event but it will disappear from the listings. This means if you wish to re-advertise the event for next week, next month, or next year, you can retrieve the ad and amend it without having to re-input the whole event.
I’m not getting many eventsAs ambertam builds its database of events it will become increasingly unlikely that your searches will illogically yield just a handful or - horror - absolutely zero results. You might just need to refresh your searches and start over again. Just click on the friendly ambertam logo at the top of the page and it will be as if you have just started out once more.
